The Showa Memorial Park, which spans Tachikawa City and Akishima City in Tokyo, is a state-run park that is also known for its beautiful ginkgo row of trees. The vast site of approximately 180 hectares is divided into five zones: a green culture zone, an exhibition facility zone, a water zone, a plaza zone, and a forest zone. The national Showa Memorial Park has 1,500 cherry trees, making it one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo. From November to December following the cosmos, the trees are all colored.
