Tokyo Daijingu Shrine, Tokyo

Tokyo Daijingu Shrine is located in an office area of five-minute walk from Iidabashi Station in Tokyo. It is one of the “Tokyo Great Five Shrines” that is well-known as “Ise Jingu Shrine in Tokyo”. Furthermore, it is also rapidly rising in popularity as “Sacrificed Places for lovers” where there are the most of the benefit of a matchmaking in Tokyo. Tokyo Daijingu Shrine is a love-filled shrine where a Shinto-style wedding was held for the first time.
The “Tokyo Daijingu Shrine”, which is highly respected by many, is relatively new among shrines in 1913, and was built about 135 years ago from now on.
During the Edo period, visiting the Ise Jingu Shrine in “Ise-no-Kuni” (now Mie Prefecture) was a lifelong wish and a dream for the people of that time. At that time, “Oisemairi” (pilgrimage to Ise Jingu (Shrine)) was popular with the world. It is the beginning of Tokyo Daijingu Shrine that was created as “Youhai den” (Hall of Worshipping from afar) to be able to visit while being in Tokyo to Ise Jingu Shrine, which has received such a deep faith since long ago. By the way, Youhaiden refers to a building that produces the same effect as a direct visit to Ise Jingu Shrine.
Generally, there is a etiquette when visiting a shrine. The basic salute of the Tokyo Daijingu Shrine is “nirei nihakushu ichirei” (bowing twice, clapping hands twice, and bowing again) the same as Ise Jingu Shrine.
1. nirei (bowing twice): At first you lower your head twice.
2. nihakushu (clapping hands twice): Clap your hands twice to match your chest height. At this time, let’s move the right hand a little down
3. ichirei (bowing again once): You bow your head deeply at the end.
There is a benefit to Peace to the household, prosperity to the business, warding off evil, bringing in good fortune, road safety and academic achievement. Take a deep breath, prepare your mind, and worship with God. The worship time is from 8 am to 7 pm. It is closed at 7 o’clock at night, so it is recommended that you head to the shrine early.
It is Tokyo Daijingu Shrine that can obtain the same worship effect as Ise Jingu, and the effect seems to be felt by many people. Mainly, the voice of women who felt the benefits of marriage and easy delivery is the topic of discussion. There are a lot of wonderful reviews such as “I have been able to get married right after my visit!” And “I was able to get pregnant two months after the visit.” etc.

Too many kinds of charm

Tokyo Daijingu is famous also for there being many kinds of charm anyhow. There are 40 or more kinds of numbers. “The matchmaking lily of the valley defense” that a snow-white lily of the valley with flower language, “happiness comes” seems to be the love of the motif. It is proud of preeminent popularity also in the charm of matchmaking. The charm of “matchmaking”, “love accomplishment” which exists in large numbers anyhow. There are too many kinds and it is waver.

Shinto wedding ceremony

Tokyo Daijingu is the first shrine in Japan to hold the “Shinto wedding ceremony” which holds a marriage ceremony in front of a shrine. It begins from the matter of marriage of Emperor Taisho having been performed in front of the shrine. Then, the Shinto wedding ceremony towards the general target’s people came to be held, and it spread through Japanese people as a suitable ceremony.
