Enjoy the natural scenery transitions from season to season

Yoyogi Park is the fifth-largest in the metropolitan park in Tokyo’s 23 wards. Before the war, it was an army facility. After the war, it became a dormitory site of the US military; in the Tokyo Olympic Games, it was used as an athlete village and opened as a park in 1967. In the vast park of 540,000 square meters, more than 10,000 tall trees are prosperous, and you can enjoy the natural scenery that transitions from season to season in the middle of the city. In 1991, three large and small fountains of 15 meters to 30 meters and water scenery facilities such as a water corridor were set up to enjoy the rich greenery and the elegant water landscape. There are also many sports facilities such as the athletics field, soccer field, hockey field, cycling course, and you can enjoy various sports.
Yoyogi Park is divided into districts with forest parks across the road and districts with athletics stadiums and outdoor stages. The trees planted in the forest park at the time of opening are now abundantly prosperous, healing people visiting as a city oasis with the forest of the shrine of Meiji-jingu Shrine adjacent.
You can see Momiji and Camphor trees in the park, and you can also enjoy colorful flowers that blossom every season, such as cherry blossoms, roses, magnolia.

There is a cycling course in Yoyogi Park; you can borrow a bicycle. Besides bicycles for adults and children, there are two-seater bicycles, and you can do various ways of enjoying. You can borrow a bicycle by purchasing a voucher with a ticket vending machine and applying at the reception desk. There is a practice range for small children, and you can enjoy cycling with parents and children.
At Yoyogi Park, various events are held. Among them, Yoyogi Park Flea Market boasts the largest scale in Tokyo. At the venue of approximately 10,000 square meters facing Namiki Street leading from Shibuya Koen line street, about 800 stores lined up, and many people visit to find a bargain. Also, bands, performers, and comedians at Namiki street will perform at weekends and enjoy the bustle like a festival.
